Privacy Policy
Summary in plain words
LetterBlitz is a realtime party word game. We do not ask for an account or email. The app stores room state during a session and a random per-device identifier so reconnects and host-based premium can work. We do not show your contact list, your photos, or any other content from your device.
Data we process
- Room and gameplay data: room code, settings, categories, drawn letter, submitted answers, scores, reactions, teams, and timestamps. Sessions are temporary and typically expire within 24 hours.
- Player profile: only the nickname you type for a room. No real name, no email.
- Device identifier: a randomly generated UUID stored on your device. We use it to match you back to your room on reconnect, identify the host, and resolve room-level premium status. It is not your Apple IDFA.
- Telemetry events: anonymous diagnostic events (room create, room join, round started, realtime sync error, premium gate hit) with no message content.
- Purchase entitlements: whether host premium is active for the device. Card details never leave Apple.
Third-party providers
- Supabase — realtime database, RLS, gameplay history during active sessions, telemetry, edge functions.
- RevenueCat + Apple StoreKit — subscription and purchase entitlement management.
- OpenRouter — server-side only, AI fallback validation when the local dictionary cannot decide. The model never receives your nickname or device identifier.
- Google AdMob — banner ads on home and results screens, plus a post-session interstitial. Premium rooms see no ads. Ads never run during an active round or reveal.
Camera
The camera is used only to scan LetterBlitz room QR codes for joining a game. Camera frames are processed on-device, never uploaded, and never stored.
Tracking
The current build declares no App Tracking Transparency consent prompt because we do not run cross-app tracking. If we add tracking-capable SDK behavior in the future, we will update this policy, the App Store privacy label, the privacy manifest, and add a consent flow before release.
Children
LetterBlitz is not submitted as a Kids Category app. The game is intended for general party use. Do not enter sensitive personal information into nicknames, custom categories, or answers.
Your rights
You can request access, correction, or deletion of data tied to your device identifier by emailing support@mcat.one. We respond within a reasonable time, usually under five business days.
